Speaking and Understanding Spanish in Today"s World!

Spanish is the second most popular language in the whole world (English being the first).
During the early colonization of the American continent many of the first travelers to reach our shores were Spanish and Latino.
These people are responsible for many of the first settlements.
That may be why we see so much Spanish influence prevalent all throughout the United States (architecture, food etc...
).
So learning Spanish is indirectly gaining a greater insight and understanding to some of the cultural fusion with Spanish culture and our own.
Plus being able to talk to our extremely southern neighbor in their own language.
Most people think of learning a new language as an insurmountable wall.
You may think that this may be too difficult for you but as an English-speaking person Spanish is actually one of the easiest languages to learn.
It can also morph into a desire to learn additional languages and serve as a jumping off point.
There are many similarities between English and Spanish seeing as how the are both born from European origins.
They share a wide variety of similarities in vocabulary, verb conjugation and gender differentiation.
Learning Spanish will inadvertently cause other languages with European roots to become easier to learn as well.
Other side effects may occur from learning Spanish such as a broadening of your perspective or an expansion of your mental horizons.
Every individual language has its own concepts, expressions and thoughts, which are extremely difficult to translate into another language.
As an example let's say "Ye tengo miedo" which literally implies "I have fear".
Now in the English translation it looses some of its luster and kind of becomes asinine, however in Spanish it is a very strong emotional expression describing the person's current state of mind.
Most people will be attracted to learning Spanish as it can be particularly helpful in getting a job.
In fact it is one of the top reasons most people choose to learn to speak Spanish.
Your being able to communicate with a large body of Spanish-speaking clients and customers will impress any prospective boss.
Next to English it is the largest spoken language in the American work place of today.
If you know where to look then you can find plenty of materials to make this process much easier.
Many people learn to speak Spanish at home online or with an at-home learning aide.
Don't let fear of failure let you stop you before you can even start.
It's never too late to learn!!!
